Preliminary Injunction Issued Against the Enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act

On Tuesday December 3, 2024 in the matter of In Texas Top Cop Shop v Garland et al. ( case 4:24-cv-00478), the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas issued a nationwide preliminary injunction against the enforcement of the Corporate Transparency Act.   Our office will continue to monitor this decision.   As of December 4, 2024, it is unclear whether the Department of Justice will appeal the District Court’s Order.    However, as stated by the court the requirement that filing must be completed by January 1, 2025, has been stayed by the District Court.  This is not a final order.  Please continue to follow our firm’s page for any developments or reach out directly to our firm with any questions.
